TESTIMONIALS

First and foremost, I want to thank Jim for all he has done in the last 6 months.  Two years ago, I set out to do well in one of the toughest century rides on the east coast, The Assault on Mt. Mitchell.  Not only did I fall short of my goal, I performed poorly and worse yet, I didn’t finish.  I had failed!  I had failed when most of my riding buddies completed The Assault and did very well.  This, of course, was tough to swallow.  As we all know, failing should make us stronger.  Certainly in my case, this seemed to remain true.  I now was determined and committed to successfully finishing Mt. Mitchell but knew I needed some professional experience to help accomplish my goal.

I had only been cycling for three years and realized there was a lot I needed to learn.  The knowledge I have gained about cycling in the last six months not only helped me accomplish this goal but, more importantly, this experience has ultimately enabled me to become a more competitive cyclist.  Jim’s coaching and knowledge of the sport well exceeded my every expectation and I especially appreciate his commitment, communication, and sincere desire to help me succeed.  I never imagined I would finish this event 40 minutes faster than my goal coming in under six hours!  I look forward to the next opportunity to work with Jim Cunningham Coaching in the near future.  Thanks again for a job well done!

TESTIMONIALS

So there I was, the beginning of December with a goal of riding a 24 hour cross country mountain biking event solo, but no plan.  There was no way I was going to even come close to being able to attempt an undertaking of this magnitude in my current condition.  I had just come off of a disappointing season due to some health concerns that kept me somewhat sidelined.  All turned out okay in the end but, I was in the worse shape I had been in years.  I decided that I would get a coach/trainer to get me stated on the right track.  So, I started talking to some professional coaches.  Through this process I met Jim Cunningham who has worked with me since January with what I think are pretty remarkable results.  Jim looked at where I was and asked all the right questions to tailor a plan around my specific needs.  Most important my regime was tailored to meet my schedule and he even ensured that members of my family were on board.

So how’s it worked so far?  The most stunning change is that I went from 194 pounds on January 1 to 166 pounds on May 1.  28 pounds lost at the rate of about 1.6 pounds a week.  Eating habits and portions seemed to fall into place as time went by.  I have a new-found energy and enjoy riding like never before.  Jim and I communicate through the internet and we converse almost daily through the on-line training software and speak on the phone once a month (or more) to fine tune what’s going on with my progress.  Jim tailors my workout schedule based on this feedback and what is on my calendar, be it a race or a weekend away.  Again, thanks to the excellent plan Jim has put together and tweaked along the way, I’m ready for the 24 Hours and am also doing well in the O-Cup events!

TESTIMONIALS

Training with Sean improved my race performance in a way that I could not have done on my own. He helped me tremendously with pushing myself to the limits without over-training, which I have done in the past. Sean was able to help me set goals for my season and had the insight that helped me to peak at just the right times. Additionally, he helped me to balance the training for both cycling racing and triathlons. I don't know of any other coach with the knowledge to help me train for these two very different sports. With his help, I won all of the races I aimed to win. That was such a great feeling!
